Odd & True" is a detailed story about two sisters that embark on a quest to slay the Leeds Devil. The author claims in her description that this is the pretense of the book. Yet, the novel manly features the tragic back story of the sister's and leads readers to believe that this 'devil' may be a conjured from one of the sister's minds. I felt that this novel was well written, yet the description and cover of the book leads readers to believe it's more about monster slayers and instead shows more insight about a troubled family from the early 19th century. - Ria ------------------------------ Odd & True is an interesting book on how the Grey sisters commence on a journey to slay a devil that has been bothering a small town for a while. Trudchen Grey the younger of the two sisters has polio, which affects her left leg, and ever since she was younger she had to use a cane, and leg brace to walk. Now, her sister Odette has come back to take Trudchen to start her journey, and get her believing in monsters and devils again. When they were young, Odd and Tru’s mother left them with their aunt, because she had to take care of her brother, and the kids Uncle Magnus. Overall this book was a page turner, and it was a very unique book, quite like nothing I have ever read before. I look forward to reading more of Cat Winters Material! - Rehat
