I found this book to be an engrossing tale and it was all about a stamp on a letter. Katie brings her father's stamp collection to a dealer named Benjamin for appraisal and he brings her attention to the Austrian stamp with an edelweiss on the steeple of a building and that stamp will changer their lives forever. As with other books I have read about WWII, I learned about another aspect of the war and how ordinary people worked to help good triumph over the evil of the third Reich. The story is told with dual storylines showing Austria at the beginning of the war and 1989 California. Fans of books like "The Sweetness of Forgetting" and "The Lake House" will find this a rewarding read. Recommended!
