In the third book of the Willow Falls series, Wendy Mass tells the story of a girl that visits Willow Falls for the summer of her thirteenth birthday. After Tara Brennan breaks into her school to steal items from her principal, her parents send her to the town of Willow Falls to stay with her Aunt, Uncle, and cousin. As Tara meets the people of Willow Falls, she begins to have second thoughts about coming here. But the strangest person of all is Angela D’Angelo, the oldest person in Willow Falls. If Tara can’t collect thirteen mysterious objects before her thirteenth birthday something really bad will happen. This book was great and I would definitely read it again. If you are looking for a book filled with mystery and friendship then 13 gift is the book for you! This book is a real page-turner and I couldn’t stop reading until I finished the book. I would recommend this book for ages nine and up. Rating- 5/5 stars @readit12 of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library On a quest to collect 13 different items from a strange town, Tara is determined to come back to Angelina D’Angelo in time so she can be free of any consequences. “13 Gifts” by Wendy Mass is a light-hearted, humorous, and engrossing read. The connections from the previous books in the Willow Falls series come naturally and unforced, making the novel more interesting to read and follow. I would urge you to read the 2011 novel if you’ve read any Willow Falls books or if you’re interested in a funny, emotional, and magical read. @WordfulReviews of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
