I just finished listening to the audio book, and I loved it. It never felt like she was reading from a script or book, but was instead more conversational, which really added something to the material. Having her daughter, Billie, read the journal entries from that time was a brilliant decision. There was obviously some filler here, but overall, I loved hearing her stories about how she got the part, her "very long one-night stand" with Mr. Ford, her thoughtful and achingly painful journal entries from that amazing time, and the joys and burdens of being an iconic movie figure. Carrie Fisher was self-indulgent, but also very funny, and she is able to speak honestly and thoughtfully about difficult subjects. It made me miss her even more.
