This is a 2013 French–Italian–Iranian drama written and directed by Iranian director Asghar Farhadi. Coming back to finalize his divorce procedure, Ahmad, an Iranian man, arrives in France after four years to meet his soon-to-be ex-wife Marie and her daughters from her previous marriage. Marie is in a relationship with an Arab man named Samir who has a son and whose French wife is in a coma. The relationship between Marie and her older daughter, Lucie, is strained because Lucie disapproves of her mother's relationship with Samir. With surprising and unexepected twits and turns, the film makes you get really engaged in the complicated problems of mother-and-ddaught relationship as well as those of Samir and his wife in coma. It is a heart-wrenching yet thought-provoking story.
