First off, no this graphic-novel is not something you want to throw at younger children. Saga is one of those poor pieces of literature that meets up with a lot of censorship simply because some people think "comics" equal "kids".
Secondly, this is one of the most outrageous, feminist, heat-felt and deeply hitting space adventures you could possible hope to pick up.
Besides having a truly equal and loving bi-racial couple in the lead, the other characters in this series all do their part to add true diversity to the cast.
I highly, highly recommend Saga for its intended audience and I highly suggest parents to trust when their older teens are ready for this incredible story.
