Heartburn by Nora Ephron is honestly one of the best books I have ever read. I loved everything about it, from the comedy, to the seriousness, to the cooking recipes that you could do at home, to the life lesson that she learned, it was great. I enjoyed reading every single part of it. The story is about a woman named Rachel Samstat who is 7 months pregnant and discover her husband has been cheating on her and claims he loves her. I thought that was a really interesting storyline to begin with and Rachel perspective was fun to read and was very interesting. I enjoyed it because it seemed very relatable to others problems in marriage even thought I didn’t relate. For me my favourite parts were the jokes even though they weren’t relatable they were funny and made me actually burst out laughing and smiling thinking of it. Rachel was a great character, I loved small things about her personality, she was a very realistic person that people would know in there every day lives. I do recommend this book if you like humor and romances, and okay endings to a book. If I could give this book a rating from 1 – 10 it would be an 8 because even thought I loved and enjoyed this book a lot I felt that the endings didn’t satisfy me. I wish the book was longer so I could know where she actually goes from and she how she stays or ends the relationship with her husband. Overall a good read, and would recommend it to others.
