This is a 2009 documentary film directed by Judith Ehrlich and Rick Goldsmith. The film follows Daniel Ellsberg and explores the events leading up to the publication of the Pentagon Papers, which exposed the top-secret military history of the United States involvement in Vietnam. It is really amazing that the American presidents and all the top bureaucrats had been keeping quiet about the decades of lies about the Vietnam War. It is also mind-boggling to witness that Daniel Ellsberg stood alone againt the most powerful government in the world, knowing that he would lose everything, and that he decided to make the top secret documents public by delivering the copies to the media. I really respect and admire Ellsberg who exposed the misdeeds of five U.S. presidents (Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon) as one man's mission to do right things.
