Enjoyed Brendan Gleason, but it got too weird for us.

Having never read the book or watched season one, I found this show to incredibly well thought out. The psychological aspect of Brady getting into the mind of others took the main premise of the story to another level which I found to be most intriguing. Standing on its own, I am enjoying season two immensely.

This season ignores the 2nd book completely so it can add more David Kelly Irish drinking and BS from The Practice, Skip it and read the book.

Strange, unbelievable, but entertaining.

First, I think I liked season 1 better. This one dabbled in the supernatural a little bit to much for me, but it is based on a Stephen King book so I guess that figures. I am not sure if both seasons were based on the book or if season 2 is just where writers thought the story from season 1 might logically go. Summary--Season 1 was a cop story. Season 2 was not as much a cop story. The best part of this one is the cast. While all the cast plays their roles really good, the character "Holly" steals the series in my opinion. She is the cream of the character crop. Other than the supernatural bits, there seems to be profanity just for the sake of profanity although I don't think there was much as in season. Also, very little of the gore that was in season 1. I have no idea if there is or will be a season 3 but I will watch it if there is.

Both years of this series deviate quite a bit from the originals books. However, the cast is wonderful, and it is still creepy, and very entertaining. Well worth the time. As long as you are not a Steven King purist.
