"A charming, hilarious, irresistible romp of a novel that brings together nine unrelated women, each touched by the same little black dress that weaves through their lives, bringing a little magic with it. Natalie is a Bloomingdale's salesgirl mooning over her lawyer ex-boyfriend who's engaged to someone else after just two months. Felicia has been quietly in love with her boss for seventeen years and has one night to finally make the feeling mutual. Andie is a private detective who specializes in gathering evidence on cheating husbands--a skill she unfortunately learned from her own life--and lands a case that may restore her faith in true love. For these three women, as well as half a dozen others in sparkling supporting roles--a young model fresh from rural Alabama, a diva Hollywood star making her Broadway debut, an overachieving, unemployed Brown grad who starts faking a fabulous life on social media, to name just a few--everything is about to change, thanks to the dress of the season, the perfect little black number everyone wants to get their hands on"-- Provided by publisher.

This feel good novel was so good that I read it in four hours. I didn't want to put it down!

This year's winner of the best little black dress is the final design by 90 yr old Morris Siegel of Max Hammer Ltd. Retiring after 75 yrs of pattern making and design is quite an accomplishment. The dress is first worn by Runway Model Sally Ann Fennely and as we read about the dress' experiences from the designer rack at Bloomingdale we love not only the dress but the characters we meet. Nine women wear one dress from Bloomingdale's and each has their own experience with the dress. The old trick of wearing it then returning it is revealed as the dress does its magic job of changing the wearer's life.

All of the characters come through as real people, some you'd want as a friend and others you're glad you can avoid.

Morris Siegel is a well known dress designer. The last dress he designs hits the cover of Womens' Wear Weekly as the dress of the year. Every woman wants this perfect little, black dress and will go to any lengths to get this dress. This dress has more adventures and brings luck to everyone who gets the dress except one person.

A light, fun read!

Fun, quick read that traces the lives of nine women who all wear the perfect black dress.

A perfect book, not too literary and not too light. Like other reviewers have said, NYC feels like another character to the story. I liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly so but it gave me an appreciation for the flavor and idiosyncrasies of the city. Chapters comfortably float from one character situation to the next with slim threads connecting some and very obvious ones for the others. Loved this book! It was funny and beautiful!

NINE WOMEN, ONE DRESS is the “perfect fit” for a holiday or weekend read. Short chapters make it easy to put down and pick back up. I must admit for me it was a little slow at first but by chapter 3, I was hooked. A smart, diverse, and engaging ensemble cast of characters, male and female, youthful and mature, tell their own alternating storylines all of which revolve around the season’s “must have” little black dress. It is as much a light romance novel as it is a love letter to it’s major setting, New York City and its iconic sites like Bloomingdales, Grand Central Station, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Central Park, to name a few. Author Jane L. Rosen’s background in film and television is quite evident in her narrative flow and craft. NINE WOMEN, ONE DRESS is a delightful modern-day adult fairy tale with multiple happy endings. “Chick Lit” at its best!

A charming, fun, and heartwarming read that manages to be light without being silly. It tells the stories of all the different women (and some men) who come into contact with the perfect LBD during its lifespan. This was the perfect antidote to the ultra-dark book that I had read previously.

This heartwarming story follows a little black dress that makes it into the hands of nine women. Each woman carries her own story and is impacted by the magnitude of the dress of the year. In a warm and engaging manner, Jane L. Rosen takes readers through the stages of heartache, job hunting, affairs, and even the odd happy ending. If you enjoy the classic Chick Lit 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,' you will be equally enthralled by the journey of these nine complex women and one simple dress.

Nine Women, One Dress is a story about the dress, the one dress, the perfect dress that is the star of each new season; painstakingly designed, drafted and sewn and sent out in the world to change lives.

The story of how the dress works its magic is a charming and irresistible tale, magical and entertaining. This novel is chic lit at its best.
