This book is a 140-page advertisement for the author's other books and assorted services, and it's not particularly well-written. The actual "Miracle Morning" is a short list of 6 recommended exercises (meditation, affirmation, visualization, reading, journaling, and exercise). He doesn't give as much information on how/why these are valuable activities (although certainly, they are)—most of the filler consists of long-winded pep talks or testimonials from himself and from others.

I'm glad I didn't spend $20 on it...

One of the books that makes me feel lucky I have read it.
You are the one to choose how you want your life to be.
Read this book and take action. Highly recommended.

I read this book to fulfil the goal read a book on mental health. i enjoyed it much. i did try a simplified version this morning. i had every intention of getting up early, but failed to hear my alarm clock. -- i think with consistancy it could help. i certainly had more of a smile on my face this morning. at times the book feels a little sales pitchy, and i wish he would get to the point, but it is worth reading. i'm looking forward to reading it again. (he recommends a second rereading immediately following the first.) i'm up for a challenge..since the original posting... just finished reading this book for a second time. i'm 15 days in to my miracle morning. i've been getting up between 5:00 and 5:45 every day. usually around 5:35 or so. some days it's been easy. it's never been super difficult, a couple of days i almost chickened out. i can't say yet if it changed my life or not. i do seem to have more focused direction and energy. and i am a lot happier for sure. I recomment this book to anyone who wants to improve yourself.

Out of the 275 books that I've read in the last three years, this book is the one that made a huge positive impact on my life.
It's not necessarily a very "well written" book, but it makes up for that in being inspirational and life-changing.
It can be a bit difficult to get started and you will have to customize it to fit your life through trial and error, but the basic principles really work.
I've been doing the miracle morning for the last 192 days and I will never go back to my old life.

I have been doing the Miracle Morning for over a month now and the only thing that Mr. Elrod is correct about is giving yourself time to do what you want first, before anything else. This has made a huge difference in me.
However, he is totally wrong about sleep. He claims you don't need as much as you think. It is a known fact that sleep deprivation results in dramatic changes to your ability to concentrate and make decisions. Working in healthcare I can attest that when you are sleep deprived you are NOT aware that you are making mistakes and bad decisions. So I make sure I get 8 hours of sleep every night, even though I get up at 4 a.m. now. I would suggest you do the same if you follow this.
Also, changing ones hours wreaks havoc on ones eating patterns and on your body. For some time I did not feel well. Eating at 4 a.m. then means 8 hours until lunch - that is quite a stretch. Also, exercising vigorously at 5 a.m. resulted in injury - I now know to go easier so early in the morning.
Although getting up early means quite a bit of adjustment, I have to say, the benefits far out weigh the negatives. At last I am completing long neglected projects I love to do and treating myself better than ever before. I am calmer and happier.
