Farmer Brown is not fond of Halloween. In fact, he finds it rather frightening, so instead of answering his door to trick-or-treaters that evening, he leaves a bowl of candy on the front porch and places a “DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door.
Later, when he finds his candy gone and a large HALLOWEEN PARTY IN THE BARN poster on his door, he marches indignantly to the barn where his farm animals are having a great time. Determined to break up the revelry, Farmer Brown finds that instead, he is the recipient of a completely unexpected honour.
Beginning with Click Clack Moo, Doreen Cronin’s hilarious stories about Farmer Brown and his clever farm animals have been tickling the funny bones of young children since 2000.

This is a great book for preschoolers. It reassures them that the scary things they hear and see are usually just pretend. In this book the often frustrated farmer is terrified of the sounds and sights he hears at Halloween, but he finds out that they are just his own animals having a Halloween party in the barn.
