Excellent book for making you feel better about your lot in life. Relatable and funny too.

This book is full of humour and good advice. Reads like a novel and has some insightful information about life. Charming and very entertaining! I'm still trying to decide if I'm a poodle or a wolf.

I couldn't finish this. It starts strong with the essay titled "Tom Man", about what happens to tomboys when they grow up, but veers quickly into the worst kind of toxic femininity, all about complying with insane standards of beauty and being treated horribly by men. The worst of the essays I finished was about how some women are poodles--naturally, effortlessly beautiful--and some are wolves--have to try hard forever with their looks and never let down their guards for a second. To me this is exactly backward. A couple of essays later (one about a cad she dated, then another about her love for that dumb store Anthropologie) I was done.

I was surprised - as good as the chapters on writing and stand-up were, my favorite essay was GET THE EPIDURAL. A wonderfully funny skewering of people's attitudes towards how women give birth.

I heart Jessi Klein. Her memoir is very funny, and full of charm and wit. She's smart, honest, relate-able and tells a good story. I especially enjoyed her essay about taking the plunge and doing stand up, but there is not a weak entry in the collection. Highly recommend for fans of comedy writers and memoirs.

This is an authentic, hilarious book. My favorite chapter is the one on epidurals.

Funny and light memoir. Just wondering why this comedienne and Bonnie MacFarlane use childhood photos on their book covers and why they both badly want to be friends with Janeane Garofalo?

Laugh out loud and spill your coffee funny at times. A fun and quick lighthearted read.
