This book is adorable!
My cats hate being brushed, so I can't really do the projects in the book (the projects require you to collect a significant amount of cat hair which is most easily done by brushing your cat). After you collect the cat hair, you then felt it and use it for the projects. Most of the projects involve decorating another object with a small amount of cat hair felt cut into the shape of a little cat, which like most Japanese craft books are small, cute and at least somewhat useful. I just wish that my cats would tolerate being brushed. :)

My friends always tell me how much they love this! They joke and say its disgusting, but I know what they mean :) also makes a great snack!

As any cat lover can tell you, there is a lot of shed hair around. Finally a practical use for all this wasted hair.

The finger puppets were kind of neat but the rest of the projects were mostly just sticking cat hair to different felt items in the shape of a cat. There was some good info about care for your cat and I learned some interesting things about felting. So I guess it was a good gee whiz book. I had hoped it would have some really amazing uses for cat hair.

Great fun and terrific pix but I don't know how many people would actually do this.

I really don't make crafts, but I checked this out because of the cute premise. It's worth a read even for the uncrafty, if you're a cat person and/or enjoy Japanese quirkiness.
