This book was very helpful for me to understand the development of my two year old. Besides the language being outdated, it is an excellent resource. While it has a section titled "Techniques", it mostly focuses on simply telling you what to expect out of your child (emotionally, physically, intellectually) when they are 2. So helpful as a parent, to understand what is reasonable to expect out of the average two year old, and to know that your child's (negative) behaviors are normal and just part of their maturation. Will be recommending to all my friends, and am currently reading "Your 3 Year Old" and waiting to borrow "Your 1 Year Old". Their recommended techniques, by the way, have been really helpful!
Though this book is a bit dated, the observations of toddlers still apply today. The authors are respectful and positive about toddlers! It's nice to have a description of where we've been and where we are headed. Quick read.
Seems a little dated.
