Great read. Wish more local history was taught at school. Talk to your elders and keep the past alive! Most Canadians think Calgary was the Wild West, but it wasn't even on the map when Edmonton was established in 1795! A gathering place for the cultural exchange, horse racing and celebrations. If Riel had been successful our society would be better integrated and more equitable. Let's keep the discussion going....
