For Tony Thompson (Lipnicki) third grade really bites. He's in a new school, in a new country, and he's having trouble fitting in. But things change when Tony befriends a young vampire named Rudolph. Soon Tony and Rudolph are going on fang-tastic flying adventures, eluding vampire hunters and driving the countryside of Scotland batty.

Checked this out to watch before Halloween since I used to love it as a kid. The movie got stuck about 3 times and continued playing on its own which I was fine with because I'm sure it's been checked out MANY times. Then, and this is what killed my review of this DVD copy, it gets stuck at the climax of the movie and SKIPS THE ENTIRE CLIMACTIC SCENE! It picks up and starts playing after the heros have already accomplished what they went to do and "unsticks" on the second-to-last scene! I felt a bit cheated truthfully. I still love the movie but I guess I'll just have to try and buy it.

Engaging and spooky story suitable for Hallowe'en about a young boy who moves from the U.S. to Scotland, where he befriends a local family of vampires. Aided by occasional offbeat humour and some nice performances, especially by the male members of the vampire clan. Too scary for preschoolers.
