I read the books before this one in the series quite awhile ago. For some reason I stopped reading them and decided it was time to pick up where I left off. I still liked it, but part of it felt dated (probably because it took place about 20 years ago). Favorite parts of the book are the ongoing relationship and family struggles between Detective Decker and his wife Rina. The main characters are Jewish and it is interesting to learn more about the religion.
